Loup of Fintry is a notable waterfall on the River Endrick around 2 miles to the east of Fintry in Scotland and 17 miles from Stirling. The total height of the waterfalls is 28.6 m. Lowp or “Loup” means leap in Scots.
The coordinates are Latitude: 56° 02′ 59.64″ N Longitude: -4° 08′ 59.32″ W.
You need to make sure that you follow B818 when coming from Edinburgh. Otherwise the GPS will take you via shorter and more adventurous road, not much fun for the undercarriage of your car though…
The car park is rather small so you need to come early or park further up the road at the Todholes car park (visible on the map below).
There is a short walk to the actual site from the car park that takes no longer than 10 minutes.
There at least two interesting photography spots. One of them requires a bit tricky descent.
